Hey Everyone!
Just a quick little announcement.
The Prototypes we created with the new factory are shipping out to me today for my approval!
I will be posting an unboxing in the next week or so (the moment they arrive)!
It took a lot of back and forth to knock out all of the details, but all is well and on the way!
These will be the first time getting my hands on a full set of all of the cards with the expansions, colored edges, and expansion booklets.
Once approved production takes 20-30 days!
I appreciate all of you and I absolutely can't wait to share with everyone!

UPDATE:
With all of the above, the factory quoted me with a 10 day turn around for the new dummy, stating:
"It will take approximately 10 days to complete including the cards. We aim to finish the prototypes as soon as possible as they took too long to complete"
In regards to shipping times, I can only guarantee a shipping time once I have the prototype in my hand for approval. Again, I want to ensure that I deliver something quality that is a beautiful and will last a lifetime. This process has been a difficult one, but it will all be worth it and I'm glad that you are here with me!

1.New Samples
Gosh it's been crazy to start over again. But quick progress is being made. The factory just sent me the printed and painted cards! They look so good! I'm especially excited about the color!
There was a mixup wherein the factory decided to foil the Dummies against my wishes, but that is part of the process working with a factory overseas! More on that below.
I'm so glad that I've decided to restart this process instead of continuing with the previous factory, because sometimes avoiding disaster looks like changing directions (the old factory's cards are getting moldy now- *woof)
The ship date is determined on my approval of the sample once I get it in my hands, I will provide! The Factory is making the Box Now!
Let me quote the factory:
"It will take 7 days to create a prototype, 5-8 days by air, 15 days for mass production, and 28-35 days by sea."
Albeit the sample is taking them longer than expected to correct their errors but everything is looking cool. If You are curious about the process, jump ahead to section 3!
2. A Cool Find
Many people have put the pieces together that one of the original inspirations for the Mercury Oracle was Brian Eno's Oblique strategies! I thought to myself, "hmmm, what If I made something that was like Oblique strategies but ALSO had what I like to call 'solid knowledge:' astrology, the chakras, the elements."
So you can imagine my excitement when I found Eno's OG handwritten Oblique flahs cards. Check it out and then come back for more goodies and offerings below!
I had some requests in the comment section to share where I was at with the process! So to give you some insight on what it looks like to work a factory in China, including purposeful miscommunications.
My reply in the comments:
"I try to keep the slog of dealing with the factory to myself, but for a little behind the scenes, I'll share!
Specifically where I'm at, just to give you insight in the In my experience working with overseas manufacturers, specifically chinese factories, they tend to do ignore the specs that you provide and try to sell you on something else in the beginning. This always happens with the first proof and I've been riding them every day so that they don't ship me something that I didn't ask for. In this case as with every other 1st proof they foiled the edges, despite specifying in text (writing "DO NOT FOIL" on all of the specs). It honestly looks great, but we aren't foiling. I think they do this because it's an easier process on their part and try to play dumb in hopes that I will just accept whatever they give me
I'm just saying all of this to give you a little behind the scenes. You have to be very stern, get everything in writing and often times go through the motions of them not listening, with gaps of a day or 2 in between responses.
Despite the rigamarole, Everything is looking good! I'll have big update once they send me a video of the cards with painted edges now that I've gone through the above!"
