Drawing everyday and getting close! Doing it full time! Each new drawing takes about 3-4 hrs to finish and then I process them for texture and color.  I received a number of requests to see what it my drawing process looks like. I uploaded a video to youtube and social media of me making a crocodile!  Check it out.  If you have not yet subbed to my youtube I encourage you to do so!  Once everything is drawn, I'm going to focus on growing my youtube!  I'm also about half way done in building a website that focuses on classes and community exploration.  All one or none y'all!

THE ANIMAL CARDS APPROACH+ ROMANCE SUGGESTIONS

First of all thank you for all your animal suggestions!  I'm drawing them fervently.  I wanted to start this update with

1. Production

The last batch had a bunch of minor issues, the emboss was a deboss, the box was too big, the colors needed tweaked and something got lost in translation with the red card edges and they foiled the last batch. All of which has been fixed and I'm now waiting on the new dummy which is hopefully the final.

2. THE ANIMAL CARDS

I've drawn a ton of animal cards (and will have a process video as per your request soon) Just a heads up I'm trying to draw as many animals as makes sense.  Logistically I can't draw everyone's specific request, but I'm trying to cover all the bases. The most important thing is that it is a well rounded system that functions. (For instance, it wouldn't make sense to have 5 spiders in there)  I received the suggestion to make animals that represent land, sea and air and by golly I'm doing it!  The animals that I'm drawing are typically not specific species or breeds.  And will exist as Spirit animals.  Kind of like the Deer from Princess Mononoke.  I'm also thinking of making these into prints!

Check out this hypnotic Octopus, what species is it? It's a Mercurypus! I made it up!

 And these Dragonflies, the worlds deadliest hunters!

3. LOVE AND ROMANCE

That said, I'm nearing completion of the expansion drawings but always love your input.  I've been purchasing and playing with Romance decks and compiling more ideas.  I recently got the classic Doreen Virtue Romance Angels cards my mom kept around.  Corny, but wonderfully fun and comprehensive. I have an outline of what I am doing but I really want to know

What would you like to see in the Romance? Are there any other decks I should check out?

4.The Future (now)

I'm trying to build out the website to be a community hub of learning where I will keep office hours, do hang outs and readings, teach classes, and develop more Mercury stuff with your input. I always say it, but if there is anything you'd like to learn or would be interested to see, I love making the things that you suggest!

Unboxing the first Mercury oracle Color Dummy!

Hey Everyone!  

I returned home today to find 2 color proofs on my front step!  I made a very quick video!

There are a few issues I'm going to have the factory fix, mainly the size of the box and a few images are in the wrong place, but she's shiny.  DANG!

The colors and crispness of the prints are ridiculous and the Red Foil Edges just make it so magical!

Backer Mark Wehrenberg was kind enough to point out a few text issues that I'd addressed a few days ago.

Big Ol' Update! VOTE ON YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL.

Hey Everyone!

Sometimes seeing the results of hard work happens all at once!  It's been a little bit of a lull on the updates because I've just been putting my nose to the grindstone!  Here are a few updates!

• I receive my first color copy of the Oracle Tomorrow! I'm so excited.  I can't believe it's time! I will make and share an unboxing video to the youtube channel!  I will post a seperate update when the video is up!

 •There are always lots of unknowns when making these sort of things, especially with all of the expansions. Upon approval I will have a hard shipping date.  But everything is looking great! 

•Burn your Boat pins just arrived and the Oracle Coins just shipped to my studio!  YES!

----and now for the fun part

•ANIMAL SPIRITS EXPANSION - I want to keep this a community effort and your input is so important to the life of the Mercury Oracle.  I'm in the final stretch with the illustrations and I wanted to reach back out to the community and ask you what Animals you would like to see in the Animal Spirits expansion!  >>>Comment your Spirit animal below and we can discuss! <<<

New Moon in Leo LiveReading tomorrow night 8pm pst via Youtube!

I've recently just returned to Los Angeles after a month and a half of traveling around Colorado tying up loose ends, resurrecting my car, gathering my possessions and making good on commitments.    I completed 2 murals, one of which is going into the animal expansion!

It feels great to be back and setting up my studio for shipping and receiving.

At any rate I'm finally getting settled (the first time this year! Yahoo!) I'll be doing a a New Moon reading tomorrow night bring your questions and come hang out!  I would love to chat with everyone about the print and play and the rest of the expansions.
